Living Life with an Invisible Illness

I have been battling an invisible illness for 3 years now. Being undiagnosed sucks, but it is something I have learned to live with so far. Seeing doctor after doctor is a routine for me at the same time hearing, "everything looks ok." I know something is not okay. Luckily I found a doctor that is really pursuing my illness and seems determined to help. At first they thought it was my thyroid gland, because I have had problems since I was a little girl. My thyroid scan came back OK. I know it may seem bad, but I wanted them to find something. I have memory problems and my dr is scheduling an extensive memory test, and soon an MRI. I have problems articulating what I want to say when I am talking, and I have problems remembering the days and dates, months even. Anyways, from here on out I am going to blog my experiences. Maybe it will help someone who just recently started having problems and dr's do not know where to start.

  1. Brain fog. I have this, also. I am very forgetful. I have to write myself notes or ask my six-year-old to remind me of things.

  2. Hey mary...
I have probl;ems remembering what I did 5 days ago and even 2-6 months ago. Someone will ask me.."remember when a few weeks..etc..." I never remember. I usually end up asking the same questions at least 3-5 times before I comprehend what someone is trying to tell me.

    Thanks for reading!!
